Streetscape and Beautification of North International Drive

In 2006 the International Drive Improvement District completed a 3-year program for more then $600,000 in improvements which has included widening the sidewalks, installation and upkeep of an irrigation system from Sand Lake to Kirkman roads.

 

The International Drive District staff continues to work with City of Orlando and Orange County staff on the following issues: relocation of overhead utilities to underground, repair and maintenance of streets, drainage, local & state signage and other projects.  This coordination effort is being done in keeping with our goal of continuing to enhance the appearance of the North International Drive area for our visitors.

 

In addition, International Drive District staff has led the movement to coordinate the efforts of The City of Orlando and Orange County in the commitment to consistently enforce code regulations for the entire International Drive Resort Area.
