ArtsFest 2006

This year in 2006, along with presenting sponsor Bank of America and sponsors Orlando Sentinel and Progress Energy, I-Drive sponsored this celebration that kicks off the United Arts fundraising campaign.  More than 285 free arts and cultural events were held throughout Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake counties.

 

Luann Brooks, Executive Director of the International Drive Improvement District says that participating in this program which gives vistors and residents a chance to enjoy the arts in their own backyard continues to be an important component for International Drive.

 

"We plan to continue to work closely with United Arts of Central Florida on how we might best support its efforts," she says.  "We plan to strategize with Sibille Pritchard, chairperson of the International Drive District Advisory Board who is also the current United Arts of Central Florida president and is involved in the performing arts on a statewide level."
