For nearly two decades, Pirate's Cove and Pirate's Island Adventure Golf have been rallying their customers around a cause bigger than the game. This May, the tradition continues. Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf in Orlando, FL will host the annual Putting for Patriots fundraiser from May 4th–25th, 2026 - part of a simultaneous, nationwide campaign across 29 Pirate's Cove and Pirate's Island locations throughout the United States. Since its inception, the program has raised over $880,000 in support of the men and women who have served our country and the families who stand behind them. This campaign benefits two exceptional nonprofit beneficiaries working on the front lines of Veteran support: Homes For Our Troops builds and donates specially adapted custom homes for severely wounded post-9/11 Veterans - restoring the freedom and independence they sacrificed in service to our nation. In 2025 alone, the organization handed over the keys to 23 new homes and supported nearly 45,000 donors in a year when construction costs have risen more than 70% over five years. The need remains urgent: nearly 1,800 post-9/11 Veterans are still waiting. Every dollar raised moves that number closer to zero. Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors serves anyone grieving the loss of a military member or Veteran, regardless of the circumstances. Every single day, an average of 25 new survivors turn to TAPS for help - and one in four of them is a child. Peer support, crisis intervention, grief camps, and suicide prevention programming are all part of how TAPS meets families in their darkest moments. Growing demand means growing need, and our support helps ensure no survivor faces that grief alone. Participating locations will raise funds in three ways: collecting customer donations at the counter, welcoming local business partners as hole sponsors, and contributing a percentage of total sales over Memorial Day Weekend - all going directly to our nonprofit partners.
