Drink Pink on I-Drive this October

Thursday, October 14, 2021
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here on International Drive many restaurants have created special pink drinks to help support the fight against breast cancer.

If you’ll be dining out on I-Drive this month, be sure to keep these restaurants in mind and order up a pink drink to not only enjoy a delicious cocktail in Orlando’s Most Dynamic Neighborhood, but also help support the fight against breast cancer.

1. Cafe Tu Tu Tango

Known for their multicultural, shareable appetizer style menu, creative cocktails, and unique atmosphere where art hangs on every wall and local artists even create and sell their work throughout the restaurant; there’s no doubt that if you’re on I-Drive and want a true dining “experience” that a stop at Cafe Tu Tu Tango is on your list.

This month, they want to Tickle You Pink with their Tickle Me Pink cocktail, and for each cocktail sold, Cafe Tu Tu Tango will be donating $1 to Compassionate Hands and Hearts, a locally owned non-profit organization that supports those battling breast cancer.

2. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Notorious for their name that originated from the favorite film Forrest Gump, dining at Bubba Gump Shrimp, Co. is a true experience from the fresh, savory seafood to the scratch-made, southern-style comfort dishes. It is the only casual restaurant chain based on a motion picture property, and encompasses a fun and energetic atmosphere where guests can enjoy a delicious meal.

This month they are offering a special pink cocktail to support the fight against breast cancer. Made using Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, lime juice and cranberry juice, the Pink Warrior cocktail will be available all October long, and for each one sold, $1 will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. Plus, for every gift card sold during the month they will also be donating $1, so if you’re getting ahead on holiday gifts and know someone who would love a gift card to dine at Bubba Gump, now is the time!

3. Mia’s Italian Kitchen

Mia’s Italian Kitchen is their name, authentic Italian cuisine is their game. Inspired by the owner’s grandmother from Naples Italy who believed in using easy, simple, raw ingredients - and so does Mia’s. Whether you’re ordering up one of their house-made pastas, Italian sandwiches, charcuterie boards, or square pizzas, we’re sure you’ll be able to taste the difference!

This October, they will be donating $1 to Compassionate Hands and Hearts, which gives a helping hand to Breast Cancer patients with household chores, assistance arranging transportation, or simply being there to listen, for each Bevanda Rose cocktail sold! This new cocktail is a refreshing grapefruit basil martini. So, if the craving for a home-cooked Italian meal strikes this month, be sure to head to Mia’s Italian Kitchen for a delicious meal and order up a Bevanda Rose martini to support the fight against breast cancer.

4. Sugar Factory Orlando

Looking for something a little sweeter? (Or a lot.)

Sugar Factory Orlando is an American Brasserie located in one of Orlando’s most popular entertainment complexes, ICON Park, and is famous for their signature sweets. No matter the sweet tooth, a stop at Sugar Factory is sure to satisfy. From their couture pops and smoking Goblet Drinks to candy infused cocktails, and the one-and-only King Kong Sundae with 16 scoops of ice cream, tasty toppings and even sparklers, Sugar Factory is the spot if you’re looking for a sugar rush.

Aside from their sweet treats, they also offer a full menu of unique American fare including burgers, fries, and more!

This month, they are thinking PINK and will be donating a portion of all sales of their Think Pink Insane Milkshake to organizations working to further breast cancer research. The milkshake is a tasty blend of strawberry and vanilla ice cream and is topped with whipped cream, pink pearls, a candy necklace, a whirly pop and a hub bubba pink ribbon.

5. Hard Rock Orlando - A Pinktober

This will be the 22nd annual Pinktober campaign, and it takes place throughout the entire month of October. Through the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, all the company divisions including Hard Rock Cafes, Hotels and Casinos worldwide will be partaking in the campaign with limited-edition merchandise, food and beverage menu items, local events and more with the goal of lending a hand to the people and communities that need it most.

This year, Hard Rock International will be offering uniquely designed, limited-edition merchandise in support of breast cancer awareness and research, which include a PINKTOBER-themed Hard Rock t-shirt and a newly designed PINKTOBER pin. You can see the merch here

To celebrate the unwavering strength of women battling breast cancer and breast cancer survivors, Hard Rock Hotels will introduce the mantra, "Stay Strong with Hard Rock Hotels" as they commit to donating 50 special stays for four-nights each at Hard Rock all-inclusive resorts.

And here at Hard Rock Cafe Orlando they’ve got all kinds of delicious ways to get involved. Try one of their new Pinktober Burgers and $1 from each will go to Hard Rock Heals foundation. The Pinktober burger options include: Mushroom & Bourbon Onion, The Ultimate “Pub” Burger”, and a Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger. But of course, any burger at Hard Rock isn’t complete without a refreshing beverage to go alongside it, and all month long they’ll be offering a Tropical Margarita.

You can also crank up your check by $1 to receive a pink ribbon and add a message of love or encouragement to their Rail of Hope around the Cadillac Bar, or snag something from the Pinktober collection in the Rock Shop and 10% of the proceeds go towards the cause!
