If you thought you couldn’t have any more fun
in Orlando’s Most Dynamic Neighborhood, think again. That’s because, not one,
not three, but SIX new attractions have made their much-anticipated debuts.
Check out the new thrills waiting for you:
The Orlando SlingShot and Orlando FreeFall at ICON Park
ICON Park has officially added more than 700 feet of fun with the recent debuts of The
Orlando SlingShot and Orlando FreeFall.
At 300 feet, The Orlando SlingShot at ICON
Park is now the world’s tallest slingshot. The two-tower attraction launches
two riders out of an “exploding volcano” approximately 450 feet straight up
into the sky, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph.
Then there’s the now-world’s-tallest
free-standing drop tower. At 430 feet, The Orlando FreeFall at ICON Park takes
30 riders up at a time to see the beautiful sites of ICON Park and I-Drive in a
ride vehicle that rotates around the gigantic tower. Once reaching the top, the
ride tilts forward 30 degrees and faces the ground before free falling nearly
400 feet at speeds reaching over 75 mph.
Ice Breaker at SeaWorld Orlando
Named after the icy Arctic summits,
Ice
Breaker Orlando features four
airtime-filled launches, both backwards and forwards. The final reverse launch
sends you into the steepest beyond-vertical drop in Florida - a 93-foot-tall
spike with 100-degree angle. And that’s just the beginning because a
near-vertical top hat maneuver then sends you into a series of exciting twists,
turns, and airtime hills.
Riptide at Aquatica
On your mark, get set, go sliiiide through
Aquatica’s Riptide Race, the
world's tallest dueling racer water slide. Grab a two-person raft, head up the
68-foot tower, and race through 650 feet of slide - with low walls… you know,
to keep an eye on your opponent. Through high-speed tunnels, twists, and turns,
it’s a splash to the finish line.
Sky Hawk at Fun Spot America
You’ll be elevated to new heights on
Fun Spot
America’s new 90-foot family swing ride, Sky Hawk. Spinning at a quick 10 revolutions per
minute, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of the park in not one, but two, seating
choices: the traditional side-by-side 2 passenger ride seating, as well as
side-by-side 2 passenger horizontal (prone) seating.
VelociCoaster at Universal Orlando Resort
Talk about wildly thrilling… All aboard for a
high-speed dash through the jungle on the apex predator of roller coasters: the
Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Orlando Resort. Feel the rush of the hunt as you race alongside
lifelike Velociraptors, twisting and soaring through breathtaking roller
coaster maneuvers above both land and water.
