Spring into action on I-Drive this April!

Spring time is here, and we are springing into action here on I-Drive! With festivals, dinner shows, live music performances, and of course Easter celebrations, our calendar is full of events for you, your family, and your friends to spring into action!

 

 

 

If you haven’t been to Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration this year – or you’ve been and loved it so much that you want to go again, don’t wait! This amazing New Orleans inspired festival comes to an end on April 4th! So, if mouthwatering Cajun food, authentic New Orleans bands performing live, colorful costumes, and beads soaring through the air sounds like a good time to you, be sure you get to Universal's Mardi Gras before you have to wait another year to indulge in the festivities!

If you’re a foodie, or adult beverage “connoisseur” of types, be sure you experience the Seven Seas Festival at SeaWorld Orlando. This weekend event runs throughout the entire month of April and is included with theme park admission! Bring your appetite as you’re invited to sip and sample your way around a world of International street food traditions. This is the perfect opportunity to indulge in some refreshing local craft brews and exiting new flavors while exploring the culinary marketplaces located throughout the park.

 

Not to mention, as you work your way around the “world” you can enjoy world-class entertainment by some of the hottest names in music! The line-up for April is below, so pick your date carefully and get ready for an unforgettable experience.

 

 

 

 

Starting the month off strong, Mike Speenberg will be performing live at Orlando Improv on April 3rd & 4th! Followed by many other talented artists like actor and stand-up comedian Jay Pharoah from April 5th to the 7th, crowd pleaser Kabir "Kabeezy" Singh on April 17th, and Emmy nominated Deon Kole making appearances April 18th through the 20th. Finally, Orlando Improv finishes off the month with our favorite kind of belly laugh, as Pablo Francisco takes the stage and is sure to bring you to your feet with boisterous laughter and applause. Known by most, and loved by many, George Lopez will be at Hard Rock Live as part of his Wall World Tour on April 6th! If you’ve been waiting for a good time to get out to Hard Rock Live for some jaw dropping entertainment, now is that opportunity! Next on Hard Rock Live’s April line-up is Tori Kelly who will be performing acoustic sessions of some of her biggest hits on April 10th. Tori Kelly is beyond talented, so if you’re hoping to experience this performance, reserve your spot sooner than later, tickets are sure to go fast!

 

Other highlights for the month of April at Hard Rock Live include Boz Scaffs performing on April 17th as part of his Out of The Blues Tour, Ken Jeong presented by AEG Live, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Whitesnake: The Flesh & Blood World Tour, and Dream Theatre. Harbor Nights: Primavera is an experience to remember and will be taking place this year at Universal’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel on April 12th. Come enjoy specialty wines and expertly prepared gourmet foods from each of the hotel’s restaurants as you enjoy live music and dancing, all in an atmosphere inspired by the beauty and charm of the picturesque seaside village.

 

Or if you’re looking for a more casual event, whip out that Hawaiian-style shirt you’ve been anxiously waiting for an occasion to show off, and head to Loews Royal Pacific Resort on April 12th to take part in Jake’s Beer Dinner: Left Hand Brewing Company. You’ll be served a dinner that features five expertly prepared dinner courses by none other than some of the best, award-winning chefs, paired with the perfect local and regional specialty craft beers! We promise, your taste buds will thank you!

 

And of course, a favorite event of locals and visitors alike, Tapa Toro Tapas Bar & Paella Pit will be hosting an evening full of hands on cooking with their talented chefs, as they guide you through preparing some of their favorite creations. Bring an appetite as you’ll be indulging in delicious eats from around the Paella Pit and En La Cocina all night long on April 25th!
