February is the month of love… so why shouldn’t it be filled with everything that you love? This month on I-Drive our calendar is boasting with the events, festivals, shows, conventions and dining options that you love the most.

SeaWorld & Aquatica

SeaWorld’s Aquatica is racing into the month, or at least the ducks at their Duck Derby will be! On February 1st head to Aquatica to get in on the duck races at this fundraiser that supports the work that One Hope United does across the state of Florida in providing foster care, adoption and other family-supportive services as well as benefiting the Osceola County School District. The person whose duck crosses the finish line first will win $500, so learn more and make sure you get in on the fun!

Then SeaWorld’s popular Seven Seas Festival will be kicking off on February 7th! Known largely for the amazing cuisine that guests have the opportunity to enjoy as they taste their way around the world of International street foods, the event also offers world class entertainment at the Bayside stadium every Saturday and Sunday at the Bayside Stadium, as well as drool worthy local craft beers to sample as you make your way through the park! This event is just like SeaWorld itself in that it has something for everyone, and it will only be running through May 3rd so be sure you make it!

Universal Orlando

It’s baaack! Head to Universal Orlando to get in on nightly parades, colorful costumes and of course, countless beads flying through the air. But that’s not all! Mardi Gras just wouldn’t be complete without mouthwatering cajun food and a live concert from some of the biggest names as well as bands who have traveled from New Orleans to celebrate with us in Orlando. Some of the headlindes who will be taking the stage this month include The Roots, Bell Biv DeVoe, and TLC. Check out the whole line up here.

Universal Orlando Resort will also be hosting its first-ever Running Epic Character Race 5K and 10K this month on February 1st and 2nd. Universal Orlando’s Epic Character Race will provide runners with the chance to race surrounded by their favorite characters within some of the most immersive theme park environments ever created. Runners in this historic race will have the option to run multiple course lengths through two of Universal Orlando’s theme parks, including Universal’s Islands of Adventure. So, grab your running shoes and get ready for a great time!

Orlando Food and Wine Festival

After outgrowing its previous location in downtown Orlando, the third annual Orlando Food and Wine Festival will be taking to International Drive’s ICON Park this year! Aside from the 35 plus vineyards, over 100 wines to try, and Rose’ garden, this event that benefits the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando will also feature a pet adoption puppy park, live music by the 502s and Universal Funk Orchestra, and each ticket includes a free ride on the iconic Wheel at ICON Park. This event is going to be pouring fun, and benefits a great cause!

The convention center will be hosting popular public events this month that you won’t want to miss!
If you’re an actor, actress or simply have a passion for theatre, check out the Florida State Junior Thespian Festival from February 6th to the 8th to enjoy mingling with other thespians and even catch a great live show or two.

And of course, the day we’ve all been waiting for.
