Thursday, July 2, 2020
Ice Cream, a sweet treat that’s been hitting ‘the spot’ for centuries. Ice cream keeps us cool on even the hottest of summer days, and brings a smile to our face during even the hardest of times; but, since loving ice cream is something we all can agree on, we won’t get into the many reasons why we love ice cream! We’ll just point you in the direction of where you can find some of the best ice cream on I-Drive

Ginther’s Swirls Ice Cream

Family owned and operated, the Ginther’s Swirls Ice Cream on I-Drive opened back in 2014 and has been a preferred ice cream stop for locals since!

Their menu features everything you’d expect, and some, in classic ice cream options! Grab a scoop of their ice cream made from real milk and cream, or choose a delectable milk shake, malt, twirl, sundae, split, smoothie or float! Whatever you’re feeling, they’ve got the creamy goodness that will hit the spot!

Sweet and Savory at Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers

Well known for their cooked-to-order steakburgers, you might tell from their name that they also whip up a delicious frozen custard. All of their frozen custards are freshly-churned, and whether you choose a sundae or a concrete, we’re sure you’ll leave smiling. With a variety of flavors and topping options, there’s something to satisfy any ice cream craving. Just to tantalize you a bit, here are some of the items you can choose from:

Hawaiian Delight Sundae or Concrete: Fresh & creamy vanilla custard, pineapple, strawberry, coconut, macadamia nuts, whipped cream & a cherry.

Chocolate Brownie Delight: Sundae or Concrete: Fresh & creamy chocolate custard, brownie, hot fudge, whipped cream & a cherry.

PBC & B Sundae or Concrete: Fresh & creamy vanilla custard, Reese's® Peanut Butter Cup, banana, whipped cream & a cherry.

Ben & Jerry's

So, you could say we like our Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream here on I-Drive, after all we have not one, not two, but three locations along I-Drive.

Whether you’re craving a refreshing classic ice cream cone, shake or smoothie, they’ve got you covered. Choose from an array of flavors including some of their most famous creations like Ben & Jerry’s famous New York Super Fudge Chunk®, Cherry Garcia® or Chunky Monkey®. And since we know better than anyone that sometimes those ice cream cravings hit at night when you’re home, all three of these Ben and Jerry's locations sell a variety of pints; so you can properly prepare for that late night craving. Enjoy!

Old Town Ice Cream

Whether you’re headed out to order up a scoop of your favorite ice cream right after you read this blog post, or you need a sweet pick me up during your next day of shopping at Orlando Premium Outlets on Vineland Ave., you’ll be happy you chose A & W/Old Town Ice Cream. Not only is it located at the mall, so you won’t have to travel far, the ice cream will hit just the spot!

Remember the days when great tasting food was made-to-order with fresh quality ingredients and always served up with a frosted mug and a warm smile? Well those days have never left at your favorite A & W Restaurant. Order up a float and watch your worries float away, at least for a moment.

These are a few of our favorite things…

Sweet Shiba is a dog themed cafe that will have you licking your chops. Not only can you enjoy a large array of food options here like their crepe cakes, authentic Asian street food, and a selection of unique tea options, but their ice cream selection is not something to be overlooked. Serving up your favorite flavors of Hershey’s ice cream, you can’t go wrong with an ice cream stop at Sweet Shiba

Choose from flavors including: peach, cookies and cream, strawberry, mint and chips, birthday batter, unicorn, cotton candy and pistachio, and then make your very own delicious creation when you select toppings from their long list of topping options.

Now that you’ve got the inside scoop on where to find some of the best ice cream on International Drive, get out there and treat yourself!
